  1. Boil 1 cup of water in pressure cooker add turmeric powder and salt. Add toor dal, wait for 2-3 whistles on medium flame..
  2. Open the lid when pressure is released and mash properly cooked dal smooth with the help of spoon. Add all chopped vegetables, few curry leaves, 1 cup water,salt and little turmeric powder in the prepared dal. Wait for 1-2 whistles on medium flame. Once pressure is released add sambhar masala, tamrind water and boil for 2-3 minutes..
  3. Heat ghee in pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red dry chilli. Give your sambhar a fantastic tadka and serve hot with Idli, Dosa or vadas..
